Thabo Choshi joined my first grade class in Huron after moving from South Africa.  We became best friends instantly as I began to help him learn English.  We stayed close for many years after he moved to Sioux Falls in 1987.  Sadly, Thabo died March 23, 2002.  I will never forget him and the many great times we had together.  He was a very special person who changed my life forever.

These are pictures taken from Thabo's gravesite on his birthday (May 22).  There are flowers and decorations from Thabo's mom, Lulu, Ty Lund, myself, and several others.  It was a very sad day.
